Flatiron Loft

Flatiron Loft
This floor-through loft occupies the penthouse level in the Flat Iron District of Manhattan. The 1,800 sq. ft. loft was completely gutted to create a space suitable for the owner's extensive contemporary art and mid-century modern furniture collections. The new windows were installed with sound-reducing glazing to dampen the street noise. The terracotta roof structure was opened up to add a large skylight, and a roof terrace was built. Custom millwork and floating partitions define the dining and living room spaces while keeping the space open.
