An addition to the small house connects the workspaces through the extension of the deck. The project is built around the “big rock”, focusing on the beauty and preservation of the surrounding landscape. The project floats above the ground with minimal site interruption. It adds 1,600 square feet of woodshop, library, and office. The roof also creates exterior covered spaces, allowing a transitional space between the exterior and the interior.
